Expected outcomes

J-CAP is expected to highlight the importance of the FD 2008/947 and fundamental issues that hinder its successful implementation, and work towards deeper cooperation between judicial authorities, thus contributing to the “alignment of the Member States’ administrative practices in relation to the relevant legislation”. 

Therefore, the project expects to achieve:

• Increased knowledge of FD 2008/947’s implementation issues by judges, magistrates and lawyers;
• Convergence of practices of stakeholders in the partner countries, supporting international judicial cooperation in criminal matters and fostering harmonisation of legal and judicial cultures;
• Increased efficiency and success of monitoring and control measures aiming at offenders’ rehabilitation.
