A B O U T

​J-CAP Next is an EU-funded project focused on developing the European Probation Software (EPS) 3.0, a digital tool designed to meet the needs of judicial practitioners 
​The EPS aims to provide a centralised, user-friendly platform for accessing and comparing probation measures and alternative sanctions across EU Member States  

​The developing the EPS, the project aims to promote the use of Framework Decision 2008/947, fostering mutual trust, awareness, and understanding among judicial systems, ultimately improving the rehabilitation prospects of foreign probationers

Key Objectives
Promoting digital solutions for efficient judicial cooperation
​Encourage the use of digital solutions to streamline judicial cooperation in criminal matters among authorities and practitioners
Strengthening legal knowledge and cooperation
​Enhance mutual understanding of Member States’ judicial systems  and legal cultures,  by providing a centralised platform for accessing information on probation measures and alternative sanctions
Promoting FD 2008/947 for stronger judicial cooperation 
​Raise EU-wide awareness of FD 2008/947 and its benefits, fostering mutual trust and cooperation among practitioners through awareness-raising and capacity-building activities
